View Full Version : Raw Nori?

I was in the supermarket the other day looking for raw nori sheets.
I found some that said "roasted" and some that said nothing at all. I wasn't sure whether to take a punt and buy the non-roasted hoping they were probably raw.
OR does it actually have to saw RAW on the label?

Read the back and if it says something to the extend of roasting or having to prepare it in a cooking manner then it is raw. At least that is what I have learned. I searched for a long time in the store to find it, and just read the back of the one that didn't say anything.

It's hard to tell with nori because most of the writing is in Japanese... lol (at least where I'm at)

Alissa sells them. Maybe she knows. Or you can order them from her or elsewhere. Seems like that's the best option if you want a better price.

Raw nori is BLACK.
Cooked nori is GREEN.
