My sister got me Alissa's book and DVD's for my birthday and so here I am. I'm only into my third week 100% raw and I would like to have a raw bud. My husband is also trying to be raw and we would like to chat with other raw folk. Let's see if we can do this for more than a month. Also am i supposed to be breaking out like crazy?

The detox will end, I promise! Mine has kinda ended...and it was hell, but worth it! I feel good and lost some weight (it's almost my 2nd week). Stick with it! And welcome to the forum! ^_^

A most hearty welcome from an almost noob myself but you will be kindly welcome here. Read, learn, enjoy, ask your concerns (we ALL have them). Go easy on yourself and expect lots of different things but most of all You will be better than you were :) Breakouts are normal as are alot of other things. read what other people go through and it will help SOOO much.

Hi and welcome lifetolife! You will love this site. You will love your new raw food adventure! Don't worry about the breakouts -- it's perfectly understandable. I didn't get them, but everybody's body detoxes differently. I got a bad head cold and sinus pressure that lasted 3 days and several UTI's!

I hope you find several friends here, me included! And you're welcome to read my journal to see what someone else is going through on a day-to-day basis!

Thanks everyone for being so welcoming. I have already gleaned so much from this forum in the few days I've joined. Daylene, that Jeremiah verse that you quote is one of my favorites!

Anyway would love to have so all close to me so we can get together and have a great time eating raw!
