Killer Restaurant In Berkeley!!! Yummmm

Just Convinced My Hubbie To Go To Cafe Gratitude In Berkeley, Ca...it Is So Incredible...we Shared Guac. With Flax Crackers, Cesar Salad With Capers, Margarita Pizza And Hazelnut Pie And My Fav, Key Lime Pie...what A Frickin' Feast...oh, And Organic Wine!!!!! I Am Happy, Full And Excited That My Husband Loved It!!!
If Any Of You Are Going To Visit The Bay Area, This Restaurant Is A Must..they Have Locations In S.f. Too!!!!

I have been to Cafe Gratitude 3 times now and I LOVE it!!! I would recommend the bruschetta, nachos and the ice cream sundae for next time. I have gone here with people who eat SAD and they loved it too. I can't wait to go back!

I loved the sampler plater and their chocolate silk pie.

It caught me off guard that they have community seating. I didn't appreciate warding off the conversation of another party sitting right there in front of me. It's not a place to have a relaxing meal. Also the service is horrible! Slow as slugs in winter! Also, while I was there I witnessed them seating 2 partys at the same table where they placed larger sized guests in the "booth" seating making them sqoosh in while putting the thinner guests in their own chairs. A bit insensitive on their part. If I do go again it would be for take out if they do that. Don't care for the ambiance either. But GREAT food!

I am sooooo excited to hear you all say that about Cafe Gratitude! I am traveling on a 3 week road trip around the whole west coast leaving 7/19 and that is definitely one of our stops along the way! I am also visiting Juliano's RAW restaurant and the Good Mood Food Cafe in Huntington Beach.

Has anyone ever been to either of those restaurants?

Cafe Gratitude sounds wonderful. I want to make a trip there soon! Thanks for the link! I have been visiting Cafe La Vie in Santa Cruz and that is very good too!

I have not been to Juliano's or Good Mood Food Cafe yet. I almost went to one last weekend but it didn't work out. Hopefully I'll get there in the next month or so!

I went to Good Mood Food Cafe in March and it was wonderful! There is also a restaurant called Au Lac in Fountain Valley that I hear is good.

Definitely go to AuLac. It's so good. I can't rave about it enough. Good Mood Food, not so good, in my opinion. Also, not to slander anyone but I have heard from some reputable sources that items that are claimed to be raw are not always raw. Cool little cafe though, just questionable about the "raw" part.
