Hey Raws...

1.I was wondering whats the best type of nut to buy? Ugh Im new at buying raw nuts, And I keep seeing In shell- Shelled, Well if its inshell isnt it shelled? Whats better to buy? I read Shelled or InShell- Huh? Duh moment?

2.Also... I have heard about the dangers of the Teflex sheets, yet it isnt heated to such a degree when ya dehydrate things. But still, has anyone tried the paraflexx ultra? It can be used over and over again? I have a dehydrator havent used it yet, so...

3. When you guys and gals make raw cookies and crackers, etc... How do you store it? I mean unless you consume all the cookies and crackers that day? if not how do you store it? If it's cookies can they be stored just like regular cookies in - a jar?

4.Sprouting vs Soaking... Okay Im confused. I thought for certain things that dont actually really sprout, like certain seeds pumpkin, sunflower or oat groats etc, Then I read things like I soaked these things, then I sprouted them, whats the diff? Im not talking about like the seeds that actually sprout tales, Im talking about the ones that dont.

5. Non Irridated spices... Anyone know of a place that sells packs of spices etc that are non irridated ?

6. Seeds UNhulled or Hulled? Whats the diff? Whats betta?

Hmm I think thats it for now. LOL... Thanks in advance for taking the time. I want to start making some goodies for my son as well as myself. Yet I dont have what I need, appliances, and info. So... Help!

I have been raw for almost a year without any of the fancy yummy looking recipes, just the simplistic salads, juices, smoothies etc. Now that my son is living with me now, I refuse to take him to MCD'S, Yet I know this kid is getting tired of me trying to sell him SALADS with MAGIC OLIVES! lollll!

Ii'll take the sprouting and soaking one........When you sprout, you do soak first.the soaking soften the seed and makes sprouting faster. So you soak the seed a couple of hours or overnight. pour the water off, let it sit, then rinse several times during the day.
Nothing will sprout if it stays waterloged that is why you rinse it to not let it dry out.
When a recipe says soak; it means to leave in the water to soften the nut. then it is ready for use...........

I perfer Ladies to gals..........
If your cookie or cracker is completly dry. they can be stored in an airtight container or the refrigerator. Most things are so good, they get stored in the belly.......
