Steel Oats

Is Steel oats raw? I was wondering because I saw some at the health food store but didn't buy them because I wasn't sure. :)

I ordered some online that specifically stated they were raw (at Manna Harvest). When I had asked about the oat groats at my health food store, I was told that if a product was raw, they had to say so on the label. So their oat groats were not raw.

Okay, I didn't see where it said raw on the package..so thank goodness I didn't buy them! :)

You said that you ordered the raw oats at Manna Harvest, how were they? What did you make out of them, oatmeal, cookies?? Which ones did you buy the regular oat groats or the steel cut ones - I know they are both raw. :confused:

I think the only way to be sure is just to give them a buzz and ask them what their procedures are.
