View Full Version : Oh My Gosh, What is the Deal With Me?????
Oh my gosh what is wrong with me! I was doing great all day, then 4pm hit and I screwed up again (I messed up yesterday afternoon too). I ate a whole bunch of potato chips. After that I just gave up and then I made a pita sandwich with turkey, cheese and cucumber! GEEEZ!!! I need to stop this NOW. I'm going to throw out all the crap in the house. It wasn't bothering me before, but now it's tempting me. My husband will just have to deal. NO MORE JUNK FOOD IN THIS HOUSE!!! I want to do this. I want to lose this weight (by the way I weighed myself this morning and lost 2 more pounds, but I probably already reversed that). I am so upset with myself. I don't want to be fat and unhealthy anymore. I just CAN'T let myself go back to my old way of eating. I feel like I'm going to cry.

Shan...there is nothing wrong with you. We have all faced this in our raw journey. Stop beating yourself up and just start raw again. I posted on Father's Day about how hard it was not to eat the food that we have grown up with that everyone was eating with abandon. I resisted that day but did 'screw up' as you put it and had bread and butter another day. I didn't view it as a screw-up, but rather an unwise food choice. (that my digestion completely rebelled against). And then I ate raw...... Just eat raw again and again..the best food choice.
You have done so well!! 22 pound weight loss!! Just keep eating raw and loving yourself because we all love you here... Many hugs!!!

The saying that nobodys perfect well thats just not true.....Youre perfect just the way you are and no amount of weight can change that. You just hit a bump in the road, and thats ok because youre still on the road and you know where youre going.
Go right now and look at yourself in the mirror and say Im beautiful and then repeat it about 5 times. Love yourself for exactly who you are right now because you are beautiful!

Don't be upset you didn'y blow it, you had a brief detour on your journey and now you're back on the right track. Don't wait 'til tommorow to start over, start over right now.
Get a mantra, some affirmations and get equiped with some sweet potato or eggplant chips to tie you over if the salty crunchy craving hits again tommorow.

I keep trying chips in the dehydrater and I keep failing. I've given up on raw chips for the moment, but I'm going to go and do those affirmations right now :o
THANK YOU everyone! I really do love this board and everyone on it. I think it's the main reason I keep hopping back on the "Raw Wagon"....hehe. I'm going to try to stop beating myself up and just start again.

Get yourself some kale (one or two bunches). Put a little agave, a drop of olive oil, a little nama shoya, a pinch or two of sea salt, season with garlic powder and or onion powder to taste in a shallow container. Sorry I seldom measure. Create a taste for yourself...use any seasonings you want/crave. Dip a leaf of kale in the concoction making sure that it is wet then place the leaf on telfex sheet until you have done the bunch or bunches. Dehydrate until crispy. Remember the longer they stay in the dehydrator the crisper they will be. The crisper the more they will be like chips.
