I just made Rawkinlocs cinnamon rolls.....Im in heaven :D !!!

A couple of changes I've made recently -

1. I now add about 1/4 c. of ground golden flax seeds (unsoaked)

2. I now use MOSTLY nutmilk pulp flour and less oat groats as I'm trying to wean from that. In other words, I just switched the proportions around where the amount of oat groats I DID use is now the amount of nut pulp I use and vice-versa. I haven't tried it with ALL nutmilk pulp flour yet, but will eventually...hopefully it's still as good and the dough is still as substantial and not too mushy.

3. I now DOUBLE the filling amount because I just find it's better with more of the yummy filling inside that sorta oozes out of the roll! :p

One other tip, make sure the dough isn't too stiff when you take it out of the processor...kinda like a really thick batter. Plop onto some unbleached parchment paper and let it rest for about 10 minutes and it will be more workable. I like to roll the dough out ON the parchment paper so that when it's time to roll it up, it's easier and not sticking on the surface.

They went over well at our WA state potluck and I had a few left over and my daughter and her VERY SAD-eating friend were almost "fighting" over them!

Thanks for the tips. I didnt use oats either, I used almond flour, ground flax seeds and pulp from almond milk. Everyone in my house loved them, even my 17 yr old and her friends (and you know what teens eat). My 17 yr old even likes my raw pizza and calzone. If I have to make these kinds of raw recipes everyday to get them to eat raw.....then I will! I also checked out your website yesterday Rawkinlocs.....and boy was it makin my mouth water!

For someone who asked....here is the thread, I guess, where Rawkinlocs was talking about substituting almond pulp FLOUR for other "pulps". I know there was a thread where Rawkinlocs talked about substituting the flour instead of pulp for the cookies, but I couldn't find it. Hope this helps.
