Helen's Strawberry Smoothie: :D
Organic fresh bananas, organic frozen strawberries.

Burger King's Strawberry Milk Shake:
Amyl acetate, amyl butyrate, amyl valerate, anethol, anisyl formate, benzyl acetate, benzyl isobutyrate, butyric acid, cinnamyl isobutyrate, cinnamyl valerate, cognac essential oil, diacetyl, dipropyl ketone, ethyl butyrate, ethyl cinnamate, ethyl heptanoate, ethyl lactate, ethyl methylphenylglycidate, ethyl Nitrate, ethyl propionate, ethyl valerbate, heliotropin, hydroxyphrenyl-2butanone (10% solution in alcohol), a-ionone, isobutyl anthranilate, isobutyl butrate, lemon essential oil, maltol, 4-methylacetophenone, methyl anthranilate, methyl benzoate, methyl cinnamate, methyl heptine carbonate, methyl naphthyl ketone, methyl salicylate, mint essential oil, neroli essential oil, nerolin, neryl isobutyrate, orris butter, phenethyl alcohol, rose, rum ether, g-undecalactone, vanillin, and solvent (3)!

To make this even more alarming, the ingredients listed here are only for the “strawberry flavoring” in a Burger King milk shake, this doesn’t include the ice cream or anything else in the shake! Our liver must process all of this, and when our liver becomes overworked, these chemicals can end up in our blood stream, with almost unlimited access to the cells of our bodies, as well as placing strain on our detoxification systems!

With a capital Y. That is very good motivation to go raw...

Thanks for the info. This makes me want to throw everthing in the kitchen that my family eats right out the door.

Years ago I got a vanilla shake from BK & it must not have been mixed properly or something, but it was the most disgusting thing & I threw it away. MD shakes are better, yet still not healthy. My smoothies & ice cream are so much better.

Hey, thanks for the post! I've been thinking of showing folks in class the ingredients list to common "food" products and comparing them to the raw version ... this is a perfect example!
Best, Anne

LOL I worked at Burger King for about 3 years when I was younger, and making those strawberry shakes grossed me out. In fact, the whole operation grossed me out and I never ate at a Burger King again because I knew exactly what was in the "food".

:p Yes, i have heard some terrible things about fast food and what gone in it.
I get ill when i see a mother or father or both shoving these things down babies and young children's mouths.
People would not believe what they are eating, i think maybe if people knew what was in these foods they would stop paying good money for something that is harming them and their families.
Thanks for the info.

Ingredients lists just amaze me now that I tune into the chemicals and stuff.

I make my strawberry shake with almond milk, and it's better than anything I could get at a food joint.
