Hello,
I remeber reading your forum and somewhere you said that you eat about 10 pounds of fruit a day, and your wife, about 6 and you get all the protein, amongst everything else, you need. Where was that thread? I've gone to your site but it seems to have changed in format. I can't find it using the search feature either. It might have been the thread where you said it took you five years to build back up to where you are now.
Thanks,
Craig

Hi Raw Nut, I'm not Fruitarianone, but I did find this thread
http://www.rawfoodtalk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=14815&page=1&pp=25
where he shows a pic of his food intake on page two, it shows two mangos, I large slice of watermelon and 1 avocado, so I'm not sure if this is the right person, or not that you were thinking of.

I would love to here from fruitarianone abou this. I personally am thinking of cutting out veg and just eat fruit, simply because I just don't like eating veg, but LOVE eating fruit, and think it's best if I only eat what I enjoy, and the chances of staying 100% raw would be more successful. So knowing how to get full protien in fruit wouild be great, although I still love to have my nuts/seeds.

Hey Craig... :D
I've no idea where you saw this tread....I eat what I need....I don't bother with protien or any such things....I don't measure or wiegh my food I just eat it and my wife has never eaten just 6lbs of food in her life.....she's not even raw  !!!!
I've posted photo's of what I've eaten in a day before.....Someone posted a link to it and when I think about it it's taken me 11 years to rebuild!!!!....and mostly in the last couple of years since I started to get physicaly active. ;)
Hey..Leap....I say go for it!!!! what do you have to lose....if it doesn't work out then you can always make adjustments..if you don't like eating veggies then don't eat them....I don't worry about protien ....I let my body let me know what it needs....so I don't eat fruits at random anymore...I eat only when hungry and stop when my body gives me the signal.
I think it's so important to eat according to your own personal needs...as RawVegans/Fruitarians too many of us are still living by cooked food standards.
How do you pick up a fruit and know how much protien it has in it?????

Hi Fruitarianone -
I saw a posting where a typical day might be 2 mangoes, a piece of watermelon, and an avocado. Do you find that you gain weight on that amount of food, or is that for cutting or losing weight? Also, would that be your intake on a lifting day?

Hi Vegan Man :D ...
I don't eat with body building in mind!!!....
infact it's the opposite...I don't even see myself as a body builder...I'm just some guy that loves to work out and push himself to the limit..
As far as the fruits go....I don't see a connection between food and building the body at any level....if there was a connection then every obese person would be a champion body builder/athlete!
I eat what I need nothing more and nothing less....for the sole purpose of giving my body what it needs...
I believe that the body is capable of maintaining itself almost completely by itself....and when pushed it will adapt to any workload!
That's my personal opinion from my personal experience. ;)
Hope that helped.

I have been having this same thought in my head for years and have been unable to find the words. Thanks F1! The body is amazing if we just let it "be".

I agree...we put way too much emphasis on food to get us by and we don't give our own bodies any credit what so ever..
With cooked food all I ever ended up doing was overeating/eating for pleasure/addiction and clogging up my system....
Worrying about protiens, etc never did me any good when I was on cooked foods because I still got sick so why should I worry about it now..... ;)

Thanks everyone,
I'm beginning to think I saw it in a dream. LOL! Really, I probably just read it somewhere and thought of F1. I searched my cache and it's not there so, it must have been a while ago.
F1,
I see the pics of your food! Did you have to eat more when you started out? How long has it taken for you to be able to live on the amount of fruit you now eat?

Hi Rawnut...
Oh man when I first started I had to eat a bucket load of fruits every 5 mins :D
It's taken me 11 years to get to where I am now...it's been a natural progression ....for me it's all about eating when hungry and stopping when satisfied!
I had major battles with comfort eating for years but have beat that now.
What I eat pretty much depends on the weather and can change on any given day.
Happy Dreaming.... ;)

I'd just like to note that I agree completely with Fruitarianone. As a traceur, people are always asking me questions. What are you doing? What is it for? Are you training for a contest? Are you an athlete?
I always get back a blank stare when I simply tell them that I exercise because I want to. Then they say, oh, you must be working on muscle. Or oh, you must be working on endurance. Then I say no, I'm not working on muscle, and I'm not working on endurance. I'm just exercising because it is fun. Because I want to.
Everything in this society has to be for something, that we've lost the true meaning of life. And I think diet is the same way. People say you don't need to diet because you are already skinny. Or oh, you must be dieting for health. Or oh, you must be dieting for religion. Or oh, you must be dieting to try new foods.
Although these things are a factor in a diet, they don't explain why I eat certain foods. I eat them because I feel like it. Because I want to.
I may eat one peanut, or one hundred peanuts. I trust my body is smart enough to let me know when itÂ’s had enough.

Thanks.
I really got into the philosophy once I started doing parkour (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Parkour). Once I actually started practicing, I realized that parkour was more than just a means of movement. It was a philosophy on life. The point is to get past obstacles in whatever way is most efficient.
In parkour, everything is simple. You don't really think about what you are doing. You just visualize it, and then do it. Life is the same way. You make a decision based on your own intuition, and then act on it. No deliberation. Yeah, other people can give you ideas on how to get past an obstacle, but they can't show you which method is best for you. Only you can decide that.
David Belle explains parkour in a really good video interview (http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-1854204693582154043&q=David+Belle):
