MSM is good for your hair. I take it, and I think it helps!

I hope this helps!

coconuts topically and internally,

I've tried the MSM, didn't work for me, but that is just me.

Just being raw has helped my hair grow faster. MSM & biotin are the top hair growing nutrients to use. Also helpful is PABA, folic acid and pantothenic acid (B-5).

You can eat greens, and drink horestail tea. Also massage rosemary into your head and scalp. The oil is invigorating to the hair follicle and so is just doing a massage. I also noticed when I was drinking carrot and beet juice my hair seemed pretty healthy.

Lots of good ideas here. Also, try treating it really gently -- using wide tooth comb, avoiding blow dryers, pressing with a towel to dry instead of rubbing. Makes a huge difference. Also, as hair ages, the shafts naturally loose protein, which is what makes ends split, break, or look thinner. The hair at the end is actually smaller in circumference than the root simply because it's lost protein. Coconut oil, applied topically has actually been shown to impeded protein loss.

Good luck!

Just keep doing raw. Some people have had grey hair go away or have existing hair get thicker and fuller. I don't know if there is one specific thing. One thing I'll always remember is when RP said that it's more what you don't eat (or ingest) than what you do. It's important to get fruits, veggies, greens, and raw fats, but what's more impotant is that you not be getting chemicals from processed, cooked food, and drugs. Now that you're off from chemo, all the better.

I heard that silicon type veggies (cukes, skins on tomatoes and red peppers, etc.) are good for hair and fingernail growth. I eat a lot of them and my fingernails grow like crazy!

My hair has an area at the neck that looks like all new growth, and my baby-fine hair does feel thicker.

I had some issues with hair loss due to thyroid medication, so the above veggies and evening primrose oil have become a staple with me. The primrose caps supposedly have something special (GLA) that aids in hair and nail growth, too.

Good luck!

Don't forget to consume a tablespoon or so of sea vegetables (almost) daily. The iodine will stimulate your thyroid, which has a knock-on effect on hair growth. Your hair follicles will also benefit IMMENSELY from the minerals and trace minerals which are so abundant in sea vegetables. Along with silicon-rich and B-vitamin-rich foods and MSM (a sulphur compound) supplementation, glucosamine hydrochloride is also known to support healthy hair growth.
