I've heard good things about this book and would like to buy it.

Which edition do you think I should get? The 3rd edition(2000) or the newest edition(2006)? Thanks for your input.

Definitely get the newest edition. Not only is there significant updates in the information, but it is a beautiful book. Amazing pictures.

Thanks everyone for your feedback. Sounds like the newest edition will be great. After reading Rawtruth's post and experience with David Wolfe, I'm even more eagered to get the book.

I borrowed this book from the library (i'm not a fan of buying books) and I THINK I got an older edition. I'm not sure. I just returned it today, actually. I flipped through it but didn't really read it.

***I edited this because HELLO?! I was doing exactly what someone did to me. lol***

Linda1970,

I would definitely suggest the new book. I really like it and he says he has added a lot more to it, including his more recent experiences and insights.

Codajess,

I think it is too bad that you received that information about David Wolfe from someone. I recently met him at a lecture and was very impressed with his integrity. Also, reading Raw Truth's experience reinforces my good opinion of him. When comparing Dr. Doug Graham and David Wolfe, they both make a lot of money from raw foods. I think in both cases, it is due to their excitement about the raw food lifestyle and their wish to teach others. In the lecture, David Wolfe talked about doing work you believe in and having integrity in the work you do. I believe he was sincere and hope you give him another chance so that you can decide on your own what you think. I think it is sad when people (not talking about you, Codajess) involved in the raw food lifestyle criticize others that are also trying to spread the word about raw. I personally agree with David Wolfe's philosophy more than Dr. Graham's, but I respect both of them for doing their best to spread the word about raw. I believe that David Wolfe's philosophy at this time agrees more with Alissa. He says to just keep eating raw and get excited about what you CAN eat (not what you can't) and your body will tell you what you need as you progress. I think this may be a little different from the past. No offense intended to your opinion. (I hope lillies don't smell like pee to me the next time I smell one. LOL)

Didn't mean to hijack your thread, Linda1970. Just don't want others that are new on the board to make a judgement based on someone's biases about David Wolfe or others.

Thank you so much DG for sharing your thoughts. Of course you're not hijacking my thread; I appreciate your inputs very much.
