LOL...I got the yellowest one I could find; I read that they should look horrible and then you know it's ready to eat. Do I use it in a smoothie? I'm trying to experiment w/foods I don't normally eat.

I also bought 2 mangoes, any ideas for them?

Thanks...

Ellen

Slice them open, then: EAT!

Some people like papaya with sprinkled lime juice over it. I chop papaya into pieces and freeze, then use in smoothies (with oj, bananas).

Mangoes IMO are really just too yummy to be eaten any other way but whole, but they are good in smoothies too.

I like to eat about 3 mangoes at once and call it a meal.

I slice it into wedges, peel and eat.....my favorite is sorbet made with frozen banana, frozen mango....thaw slightly and fresh papaya.......done in the food processor, blender, etc..this is awesome.....one of my favorite dishes~
Think I will have this for dinner~ :D

I've never had the opportunity to try papaya but I think I have heard of blending it with ripe banana to make a pudding.

and mangos, well they are my all-time favorite fruit....I love to eat them plain best. But they are also delicious in a mango-banana-spinach green smoothie...my favorite green smoothie yet

papayas are awesome all on their own. I've never tried them in smoothies before, b/c they are just that tasteful just cutting them up. I'm sure the smoothies will turn out asting fantastic! :D

You will know its ripe once the skin changes colour from green to a peach/orange/yellow , and when you squeeze it will be soft (not mushy though). Just slice it, remove the seeds, peel off the skin ant enjoy the flesh
