Great!!

And considering all the static you were getting at home, you should be very proud of yourself.

Thank you so much.. I ordered Alissa's book so I am so excited... I'm sticking with eating the smaller meals more often. When I was on chemo that is what I had to do. I was always so sick. I don't eat breakfast so I am just doing a smoothie. Lunch, mid day and evening I have been trying out a few recipes I have seen posted. For my snacks I seem to really enjoy fresh fruit. In between I have been making smoothies to drink. I'm on the hunt for a really good recipe to make my mom. I talked her into letting me make her a meal that is raw... I'm so excited. I would love to get my mom turned on to raw. She smoked most of her life and quit back in 2000. But she gained some weight. So I am spending a couple weeks with her and I am going to try and turn her onto raw while we are together.. My husband maybe against raw, but my mom is willing to let me make her some dishes to see if she might like it. So at least I have her. Also one of my nieces (shes is almost 15) wants to try as well. She hates meat and was interested in trying it when I told her some of the different recipes. My family came through for me just in time. I was really starting to get very depressed about things at home. But now I have the next 2 or 3 weeks to look forward to..

Wonderful Job!!! From one rawker to another (nine days raw), the jounrey
continues... Just you being raw, your hubby will see the difference in you. So surely, but maybe slowly, he will come around.
Peace

Sorry to hear about your husband not being supportive. Mine is amazing -- he just said the other day, "honey, as long as you are eating raw, I'm perfectly happy cooking for myself. I will never ask you to cook a meal for me as long as you are raw." I think he likes it that I'm losing weight! (and the extra energy for sex doesn't hurt either!)

I agree with what was said above -- that as he sees the positve changes is you, he will come around. Just be patient. Our mission is to take care of our own bodies to the best of our ability, not to convert our husbands. The teamwork and shared purpose is nice, but we can always find raw friends. Men REALLY don't like it if we try to change them - -as I'm sure you already know!

If he's worried about the extra expense, there might be some good news on that score in the future. I've found that the longer I eat raw, the less I need to eat, in terms of quantity. I've seen that trend in other rawfoodists too, ones who have been raw for years. They can go several days on liquids!

Hey, did you realize you were a root already! Great! I think you become a root after you've made a hundred posts.
