Hi

I got 3 wisdom teeth removed this morning plus one tooth that had gone bad and was not fixable. My tongue is swollen from the novacain and I am only suppossed to eat soft foods for awhile. Right now I could not even imagine chewing becuase my mouth is so swollen and numb and my tongue feels like it is taking up my whole entire mouth. It is a weird feeling. Just drinking water froma cup is difficult.
Anyways when I got home I tossed some frozen peaches and bananas in my juicer and made a sorbet. That was good. For lunch I had an apple and an orange blended up in the blender. That was ok. I can see that I am very soon going to run out of ideas here.
Does anyone have some good ideas for what I can make to eat?

Thanks!

hmm I'd say make some banana or nut ice cream, green smoothies, raw puddings, soups. There are many soup recipes but I don't any off hand as I have never been brave enough to try one. I would do a search on this site. plus this site has a lot of recipes, including a lot of smoothie recipes.

Thank you all so much!

I was thinking green smoothies too. I don't know how long I need to be careful. I think a few days. I am sure I will be fine. It is just a little weird right now.
Thanks again for your tips!

Just be careful with the smoothies and don't use a straw....sucking is not good when you've had tooth removal. It can unseat the blood clot....unless the doc put a stitch in the socket, which they sometimes do.

I got all 4 wisdom teeth removed two days ago and i think i'm gonna cry. They used anesthesia and now I'm on penicilin and vicadin but my mouth really hurts and i can't eat anything hardly or go anywhere and my dentist totally lied about the syptoms.....he said minimal swelling and my face is huge.........its bringing back really bad memories of being the fat girl that no one talked to and secretly wanted her life to end..........The drugs I'm on drive me insane........My thoughts are the same but this time i actually say what i think and I've already said some mean things...........as soon as i wake up its time for drugs and they put me to sleep for like another few hours but when i wake up its time for more drugs and by the end of the day ive slept so much that i'm wired and can't sleep..............and i just hate this........i look so fat and its just awful..............
