:) I had lost around eight pounds in the last week and a half and got on the scales yesterday and it said i had put 5 of those pounds back on.
I was shocked, i am eating raw and didn't eat anything cooked, i could not figure out what had happened.
Today i got back on the scales and the weight had come off all except for 1/2 pounds, my eating habits haven't changed, i am confused.
Has this happened to anyone else, where you lose and then the pounds seem to reappear and then disappear overnight?
It sounds strange when i think about it

I do that all the time if I eat nuts, oils, bananas, salt, or I'm having my time of the month.

:D I made the chocolate pie recipe posted on this board and i added 4 bananas to it and ate half the pie.
Thanks for the tip, i was wondering what might have been the problem, thanks so much.
I may start keeping a journel on what i'm eating so if this happens again i won't be over concerned about it.

I have found that that happens when I eat salt.

If it fluctuates that fast, it's just water weight.

should i be drinking more water or less water.
I've heard that if you don't drink enough water your body will puff up, i don't know if this is true or not.
I try not to use much salt instead i use herbs from my garden with a tiny bit of salt added. But i do like condiments they may have quite a bit of sodium.
Thanks for the help in understanding what's going on with my body.
Ann :)

Drink more! Some people have the opinion that you can drink too much water. I'm not one of those people. If you're retaining water, you do need to flush it out (oddly) with water.

drink more water, and if you don't want this to happen again, then you may wish to limit your salt intake.
I don't limit anything, because I don't worry if my weight goes up or down a bit, I know this is natural.

Drink more water! Not only will it help you flush out the toxins you may release in detox instead of causing havoc on yourself, but your body will retain water if you don't drink enough because it is storing it in 'fear' of not having it later.
Just one thought: Do you have a digital scale? Sometimes I step on mine and it shows a number that is off by about that much and then I give it another try and it is accurate this time. Doesn't happen often, but when it does, I panic. A third and maybe fourth measurement always confirms the mistake. Sometimes, if it is my favor with a big loss, then I don't want to check it! :D
When do you weigh yourself? Like someone said that even coming near 'that time of the month' can make a huge change in water-weight. I'm a bit of a weirdo. When I weigh myself it has to be naked and after my morning BM... all that stuff in you weighs quite a bit. I'm also trying not to weigh myself too much now, because I find myself getting obsessed with it. I have to remind myself the the #1 reason I'm eating Raw is for how I feel, not how I look.
