Hello everyone,

I am a 30ish female from WV. I have been doing research on becoming a raw foodist and needless to say it's been interesting. Some of the information that I've been reading is a little scary and some of it has been very informative. I haven't started being a raw foodist yet due to trying to find the equipment. I have searched everywhere for a good prices on a dehydrator, currently I am the highest bidder on an Excalbur 9 tray dehydrator yet I changed my mind about it because the shipping is too expensive! :p I hope someone outbids me! Anyhow I am looking into the LEquip dehydrator due to it being more economical. Any comments on anyone trying these?

Also I have epilepsy and have been trying to find information on epilepitics and raw diets but haven't had much luck. I currently am taking medication for my condition but would one day like to stop taking medicine if possible, which is one reason I am looking into the raw diet. Another reason is because I am tired of feeling fatigued. I am currently cutting back on my coffee and once I quit and have a deyhdrator I plan to start the raw food diet.

So needless to say I am excited about starting and any input from anyone would be greatly appreciated!

Have a good day! :)

Greetings, welcome aboard, I know how it is when you start something, you want everything. It is possible to start with nothing but FRESH RAW FOOD. Did you know that in weather like we are having you can put food in the sun to dry. I call that my Grandmothers dehydrater. I remember when she did this because that was all she had.
I wish you much success. You are doing a very good thing and your body will reward you.
