Breakfast to me in the SAD world has always presented me with some delightful taste. I have no desire to return to SAD, rather I am looking for some breakfast substitutes to the following. Any mock recipes out there??? Any and all help would be very appreciated.
mock eggs/omelot?
mock bisquet and gravy
mock bacon
my usual routine of smoothie and/fruit is very enjoyable but I need a little breakfast kick.
Thanks everyone!

Eggplant Bacon-Why-Not
1 large eggplant, thinly sliced lengthwise
3/4 c. oil * I only used 1/4 cup oil
1 tsp. cayenne
2 Tbl. honey
4 Tbl. Ume Plum Vinegar
Marinate for 2 hours. Place on teflex sheets and dehydrate for 9 hours. Turn bacon over and dehydrate another 9 hours. (didn't take me that long)
Edit/Delete Message
Tip: Cut waaay back on the oil...maybe about 1/4 or even 1/3 a cup and you can sub the Ume Plum Vinegar with Apple cider vinegar or Nama Shoyu or perhaps even try lemon juice if you want a more "pure" recipe. It won't taste like SAD bacon, but it's pretty okay.
As for biscuits...haven't run across anything yet, but perhaps make Alissa's Rye Bagels (and perhaps sub the rye with some other grain if you don't want rye) and have with a raw cream cheese recipe!

iloverawfoods: Raw Preiestess has awesome 'breakfast book' she sells. and you can really use so many of Alissas Recipes for breakfast. Your' body does not know it's breakfast or lunch or dinner food. It just needs good food, so dinner food for breakfast? why not! We do burittos or tacos for breakfast many times. Ah, how many times we had RAW Pizza for breakfast! Joz

Just to 'second' that... Raw Priestess has a LOT of awesome recipe books, one on almost every category, plus ethnic and holiday.
I have to admire her restraint in not self-advertising like heck! But I guess if you go to her site you'll see them.
I got ALL of them. Once I started, I couldn't decide, so I just went for it.
Way to go!

I'm not sure if she has anything on ebay right now, but what I meant was her own website. You can link to it at the bottom of her postings.
We can ask her:
Raw Priestess: Do you have any recipe books on ebay right now? Are they selling for the same price as your own website, or would it be worth it for someone to bid on them?

Yes she has other books also. But this was about breakfast ideas, so I only mentioned that one. And of all people RP has shared so many recipes with us. Thank You! and her mistakes turned out to be 'gems' for us to enjoy.
