Are my coconuts still good

I cracked my coconut all up but there is black between shell and the meat.
Is the coconut moldy?
I have never noticed this before on other coconuts,Only differance with these coconuts are there organic.
Anybody know,Please let me know thank you all.

What color is the meat? White is good, pink is not.

Often I notice there is mold on the outside of the coconut if it is bad.

also is this a young coconut?

Sometimes I notice when I happer my screw driver through the shell (that is how I do it.... I don't play with knives!) a little black stuff leaks out before I break all the way through. But like sunshine said - if it is white on the inside it is still good. You will deffinantly be able to tell if it has gone bad. One little taste and you'll know. The water will be pink/purple as will the meat. Never buy coconuts on sale! I have done this a couple times.... and I think stores do this when they need to get rid of them because they have been sitting around long. If they are on sale ask the produce guy/gal if they have any fresh ones in the back!

The meat is white and i first drank the water before cracking it and that to was clear,But i just cracked open another one and the second was looked good with no black.
There was a lot of black troughout the whole thing on the first coconut.

I beleive they said young coconuts but they are hard shell.
can hardshell coconuts be young?
I dont know i just started eating coconuts when i first went raw which has not been but a few months,Plus i dont eat then all that often.

I had one with this problem the other day. I thought hmm...no biggy and then I had a few bites and it was nasty tasting and so into the compost it went.

If it taste bad is probally bad, if it tastes good it is probally good.
