I am all raw since 8 days and I have lost 9 lbs. We are moving to Florida this weekend and the salads start to taste bitter. It could be that I am in big stress and I realy don't have any time to prepare my meals. I just grab what I have. I eat fruits and raw vegatables. My questions is do you guys have any simple receipes for me? I will be living out of suitcase next week, so I quess I have to eat like I am eating now. It is not fun, believe me.
Any suggestions?
Sincerely,
Sarahla

Hi sarahla,
I can completely relate.
Dried fruits work well if you have them.
Do you have a dehydrator? If so you can whip up a quick batch (or 2 or 3) of different crackers to eat. I love making a savory cracker with soaked flax, sesame seed pulp (from making sesame milk), salt, parsley, lemon juice if needed. My other fav cracker is soaked flax, honey and cinnamon. This are great when you need something sweet. You can top with honey, almond butter and bananas and they are yummy. You can also soak and dehydrate nuts.
Make a few different dressings to keep in the fridge or cooler through your move too.
Soups are a great alternative also. I just returned from an extended vacation and took my Vita-mix with me. I made my morning smoothies. You can make soups and blended salads too.
Good luck!
RP passed this brownie recipe on to me and it is simple and easy....
1 cup walnuts (unsoaked)
1 cup dates (pitted and unsoaked)
1/4 cup cocoa or carob
mix in food processor and press into pan or dish refridgerate or throw in the cooler. They are yummy for snacks.
You could also make a bowl of spinach dip and take a bag of veggies...celery, carrots, cherry tomatoes, or some crackers.

Thank you ladies,
no , I don't have dehydrator. I have been raw only for 8 days. I feel fantastic and can work real hard. We are relocating this weekend. it is a big house, 2 small babies and my husband can't cope. i quess raw food helps me keep my sanity. I will make few dressings and buy dehydrator as soon as we arrive in Orlando.

What about a blender? Nothing is simpler than throwing in a few fruits and some lettuce and making a green smoothie. And clean-up is just rinsing the blender.
Right now, I'm almost living on green smoothies.
