So, I've been 100% since May 1 (with 3 slips total). Since I've picked up my mileage this month (I'm training for a fall marathon), I'm craving cooked peanut butter. I've given into my cravings twice by eating several teaspoons of, dare I say it, Jiffy. And it's not making me feel sick, like I thought it would. Other than the peanut butter, I'm still 100% and eating tons of greens, not too many nuts, and drinking hemp protein shakes with raw chocolate. And when I get the craving, I don't even want the natural peanut butter I buy for my daughter at Whole Foods. It's gotta be the processed crap! I am wondering what vitamin, mineral, food etc. I'm deficient in that is causing these cravings. Anyone have a good raw substitute? Perhaps it is the consistency or the sugar.... I just don't know but don't want to continue doing this on the days I run. I just want to be all raw all the time.

The same thing happened to me. After being all raw for a year and a half with no slilp ups, I started craving peanut butter like crazy. I couldn't bring myself to eat Jiffy even though that's what I really wanted, so I ate natural organic peanut butter. I love the stuff!!!! Almond butter is good and pumpkin seed butter I also love. Nothing is quite like peanut butter though!

Bet it was the sugar and other additives.
these companies are good for adding in the stuff that makes you want more of it.
Consider making a mixed nut peanut butter, fgrinding them raw and fresh at Wild Oats or someplace similiar.
What about mixing in some honey or a little sweetness
Congrats on the will to complete a marathon, that's awesome all by itself.

I agree, add some raw honey or agave into raw nut butters. Maybe even sprinkle a little sea salt. You'll love it. I have it all the time as a bedtime snack.

Thanks for the suggestions. I'll try going the raw nut butter plus agave route.

I overprocessed some pine nuts with nutritional yeast and salt. Tasted just like peanut butter but waaaay too salty. You might try that, but use little to no salt.

I eat tons of peanuts, and I do agree that processed butter is addictive. I'm fairly certain it's the sugar.
You could try using natural butter, but adding some honey.
