A friend of mine and I are considering trying raw food. We are both nursing though. Her concern is gas on the babies. We have always been told to not eat certain veggies like broccoli cause it will make the babies gassy. Any comments on this?

every baby is different and every baby will have different sensitivities. if you find your baby is sensitive to certain foods just dont eat them. there are still plenty of others around that dont cause gassiness :)
my son had a HUGE list of veggies that i could not eat with him because he was highly sensitive to them. my daughter i can eat those veggies no problem. her thing is grains, soy, legumes - it made it easier to transition from high raw to all raw because the few things i was eating that were not raw were the things that she happened to be sensitive too.
i would say give it a try. they can have sensitivities on a cooked food diet also you just need to figure out your baby. maybe your baby will have no sensitivities. i have friends that have babies like that and they can eat whatever they want.
