I made the decision today to become 100% raw and stick with it. Previously I ate raw for a month and felt brilliant, then I'm ashamed to say I went back to my bad habits. I need to lose weight, improve my skin and break my addiction to Aspartame, sugar and nicotine.

Welcome! Don't be too hard on yourself to going back to your "bad habbits," Yes they may have been bad (fast food, junk, ect) or just cooked (brown rice, steamed veggies, ect), but it's cooked...it's how you were brought up for I'm not sure how many years...it can be difficult to change your habbits and actions. You've made great progress and I'm sure you'll continue on your way with a few bumps, because everyone has them, but it'll just get better and better as time goes on. :D
Welcome back! Glad to meet you :)

Nice to meet you and congratulations on your decision!
Don't be discouraged by your previous slip-ups. I tried going raw 3 times over 2 years before it really caught on. The third time it felt so right and effortless that I was amazed. You sometimes have to try something several times before you get it right. I've talked to several people who, like me, struggled with on again, off again raw eating until one day a light bulb went on overhead and they discovered the life they were always meant to live and never looked back.
One thing that worked for me, and that I've suggested in other posts, is to journal while you are eating raw for the first few weeks. Take note of the changes going on in your newly liberated body and how they are making you feel. The more you notice, the less likely you will ever want to go back.
My sister, Eveleaf, said something on the phone tonight that was very inspirational and put it all in perspective for me. She said, "Imagine you got the perfect job, your dream job. Even so you would probably still miss some things from your old job from time to time. But you wouldn't want to go back there. Now I have this great life, my best life, which comes from eating raw. Yes, I still miss some SAD foods, but I can't have both, and the raw life is better."
