Hi! I“m currently three weeks high raw, and going for 100% this week. I must be getting all the detox sympyoms at once (TMI to follow, consider yourself warned): Acne, metallic taste in mouth, some foods taste moldy, my hair“s gone haywire, my first ever yeast infection, dizziness, low blood pressure and general fatigue.
So, hi everyone, and thanks for posting so many informative things for us newbies to learn from. I“m currently waiting for m Excalibur, while debating whether or not I need a juicer yet. As I“m in Norway, there“s little or no access to raw condiments and such, but I“m trying to find online shops that doesn“t have to charge billions for international shipping.
Anyhow, I“m rambling. :p

Just slug out the detox. It's worth it in the end.
I switched back away from cooked foods recently. I finished my fast last week, and I finally got that icky detox taste out of my mouth.

WOW. I also got that "extra-sensitive to mold" thing and was starting to think I'd gone bonkers. Is that a common sign of detox? I searched all over the web and had a hard time finding anything.

I“m not sure how common it is, but I have read about other having the same experience. Thankfully, most of the symptoms are gone now, but I remain very sensitive to "moldy tasting" fruits. While some look fresh, they taste moldy. Well, this too shall pass, I guess. Thanks everyone!

since this thread was started, but I just did a search to find people from Norway (I come from Norway but live in the UK), and I found this thing about being sensitive to the smell of mould very interesting! When I was fasting back in September, I went to Tesco (big supermarket chain) to buy some food for when I was coming off my fast, and I could hardly bring myself to buy anything - their entire fruit and veg isle just stank to high heaven to me! And I'm not sure if the fruit and veg at Tesco is particularly mouldy and I just happened to be able to smell it that day, or if all fruit and veg smell a bit mouldy but I was just too overly sensitive to it... I tend to think it was the former... :( I also had problems just being out walking, cos the smell from the sewers would waft up at me and make me feel really nauseated.
I had read before I started my fast that a heightened sense of smell was a common side effect, but it's really interesting when it happens
Anyway, it hasn't been this "violent" this time around (I've been raw for 2 weeks now), apart from the bread isle in Tesco really stinking, but that's not mould, that's additives!!! And my fiancƩs breath REALLY stinks... ;)

I was very sensitive to mold when I was a kid - it was my father's job, he cast things in molds. :p
