I am wondering if anyone has any ideas or similar experience to get me through a rough patch.

I have been eating raw for going on 4 months. Overall it has been going really really well.

Over time I have started to develop some sensitivities to certain foods and most rcently I find myself having allergic syptoms to almost everything I eat.

I have an MD friend who is also a raw food person. A few days ago when my problems began. He suggested that one thing that might be happening is that I do not have the proper digestive enzymes so that I am not breaking foods down corectly and then they are causing allergic reactions.

The other thing I am wondering is if I am having a big candida problem or perhaps I have uncovered a pocket of candida overgrowth that is dying off.

In any case this is becoming quite undcomfertable and I am not quite sure how to proceed.

I have started trying some digestive enzymes and I am trying to maximize things with benificial intestinal organizams.

Any more ideas?

in addition to taking probiotics and digestive enzymes, be sure to rinse, soak, and rinse again any nuts or seeds. sprout all grains a little more than usual. you probably do all this already, but raw unsoaked seeds and nuts and unsprouted grains are common culprits for food sensitivities.

another possibility is an infestation of mold, mildew, or pests in your food supply or storage area. I am not suggesting you don't keep a clean kitchen :) just suggesting you take a good look around your cabinets and inside any bulk items which can get mold and other problems as they travel along the suppy chain. you might be having an allergic reaction to microscopic mold or similar, rather than to the food itself.

just a few thoughts. good luck, hope you feel better!

You might finding doing a bowel or parasite cleanse helpful. I've been dealing with candida & just being raw isn't enough for me, even with digestive enzymes & probiotics.

What types of foods are you eating? How do they make you feel? This happened to me too. I find that bananas and mangoes are the only sweet fruit that don't make me feel faint after eating them. I can eat greens and non-sweet fruits to my heart's content though. I just eat the things that don't make me sick and hope that this goes away soon...
