This is something I've been experiencing lately. What can be causing them?

It seems that when I try to cut back on food - - or now I am trying to change my eating habits to eat more healthy and less processed foods I always get them in the afternoons. According to fitday I am getting enough calories (between 1800 and 2000). My stomach doesn't feel hungry so I don't think it is that. What else could cause this?

Opinion:

-Mild detox. Eat simpler and stay well hydrated.

Most likely detoxing from what you're removing from your diet.

WATER WATER WATER!

Headaches are almost always associated with hydration.

Thats just from my experience:
I get headaches from high fat foods. (After i did some research, I learned, fatty foods can be a culprit in migraine-like headaches.) And i can“t tolerate avocados - result in severe headaches for even the following day. Could be either due to its fat-content or due their high amines-content. Histaime rich foods like avocados or red wine (for example) lead to headaches or gastro-problems in histamine-intolerant people (have a lack in metabolizing enzyme DAO, tested via blood).

I agree about the water. The other thing is, clogged colon. Give yourself a series (meaning 6-8 in one day) of enemas or a series (about 3) of colonics. Then be sure you're drinking enough water.

Not knowing specifically what you are eating it's difficult to pinpoint food issues. Keep a food diary and see when you get the headaches if they are food related.

I think it was from lack of diet coke. I am doing well food wise but having trouble giving up this particular habit. My husband mentioned that I hadn't had any caffinee yet during the day and soon after I had some the headache went away. This isn't good.

You are correct, it isn't yet, if you can stay off it for a week the headaches will disappear. I had a client who had a stroke from that stuff ~ at age 43. Last time I saw her she was still drinking it. Also had a co-worker who went blind from drinking it. Had major migraines as well. Aspartame is addictive. It should be banned from all foods. You know what's funny? Even "regular" gum (non-diet) contains aspartame for the addictive aspect.
