Dehydrating Question/HELP!

I found a Thai raw foodist in the south of Thailand and we've been emailing back and forth. English isn't her first language, so I'm kinda confused by her method of dehydrating.

Could you help me out, and offer some suggestions with dehydrating without a machine.

Much better and cheaper we find is usng a normal cheap fan (buy at Big C) and cheap plastic shelving (Thai dish drying rack works well) and no heat.

If its not raining out and warm dry room it drys fast and easy.

Could I make crackers like this? How long do you think it would take???

You should google "non electric food dryers" and you will find that there are some available. You will also sometines find them on ebay. This is a link to one model.

I have just noticed that the site that I linked to is claiming that the price is $89 (but they are selling at a discount at $50) but I recall being on the home page of the manufacturer and they sell them for $50.
I saw them on ebay for $15.
