I have a perm and i have never had any body to my hair.
Now, my hair is growing and do i have body, yes and i love it so much. The curl doesn't fall out like it use to but i do have to use a curling iron.
My husband says that my skin has a glow to it and that makes me smile.
What are some of your experiences since going RAW! :)

My hair used to be dry. Kind of greasy. Had a little wave, that usually looked like a cow lick in the front. It looked mostly nice though with a lot of blow drying and products.
NOW my hair is growing quickly, and what were light waves are lovely curls. My hair looks different every day too... sometimes curlier, sometimes less. I will also say...and I don't want to sound cliche here haha... but my hair looks much "wilder".. I feel like a lioness sometimes. It just has all this volume and curl...I really like it, and i'm finding that while before I could never get my hair to look right, somehow now it ALWAYS looks right and is absolutely the best shape, style, body, for MY FACE. AMAZING.
I can't credit it all to raw though. I also quit using ALL less than excellent shampoos, and I use Morroccan Shampoo now (it's clay and other stuff..they're all raw & vegan), and I kicked the blow dryer habit for GOOD. Both those things may have made the biggest difference I think.
And my skin looks great. :)

I stopped chemically treating my hair over a year ago. To avoid having chemical fire cream toxins absorbed into my bloodstream.
Hair stronger and healthier while high raw and increased water. Haven't made it 100% raw yet beyond 2.5 days, will try again. Recently "over exposed" skin on a long hot summer day, produced a golden carmelized tan with only slight dryness to skin no ashness and minimal burning. I'm African American so I don't usually get the visual effects of "burning", but in the past while 100% SAD I often felt drained and worn out after what should have been a joy filled and healthy day in the sun and my skin would look like I had ashy rash. I'm a believer that something as natural as the sun shouldn't be able to hurt you, when all other conditions are right.

I was shopping at whole foods on a Sunday. I had no make up on. I ran into someone I know. I said Hi and she asked me where she knew me from. I told her then she knew who I was. She said "your skin looks amazing, it's glowing, I seen you come around the corner and thought wow that girl has great skin" I was so happy.
That's from being 100% raw!

They also sell it at Nature's First Law
It does not lather. It's a pretty hard core shampoo. I always warn people that this product is really thorough, and you're going to go through a detox with it. So after washing you might end up with what looks like gunk in your hair. It's wax. The shampoo pulls out all the wax residue from all the sad shampoo (and believe me... there's a lot!). So it can take a little while for the pH of your hair to settle out. I have found finishing with an apple cider vinegar rinse is ESSENTIAL.
I love it though. I mean, the skin is the biggest organ of elimination and assimilation--so why would i put anything on my skin I wouldn't want to eat?

My face skin improved very quickly on raw, although my upper arm skin is still bumpy a little. I do not use any skin lotion with two exceptions:
A little sunlotion if I am at the beach in the middle of the day
Coconut oil if my hands get too dry
My hair got a little lighter probably from baking soda with water I use instead of shampoo for couple months or so. I tried to use apple cider vinegar with water as rinse, but I did not like how my hair looked after that, so I just rinse with water-I do have water filter on my shower head.
I never complained about my hair, but I just leave it as it is - never had a perm or anything like that.
