Hi..I went raw in January and even posted a journal yet I went back to cooked food.... I didn't have power to say no to cooked foods.. I even brought other raw books, Like RawPriestess (breakfasts so rocks!!!!!), but I still fell of the bandwagon..okay platform ;)... Today is my second day being 100% raw and I felt a little under the weather but I did make some nutmeat and some flax seed crackers... I tried to make the Burger buns but dh ate most while I was at work so it really was more of a cracker....
I Decided to be raw again because I need a new start on life and I am going to Jamaica next Friday, Jah willing and what is better than being in an island to get fresh fruits and vegetables... why should I eat dead food when life is all around me.. Anyway I hope I can get all the support I can from u guys since I have been lurking here and there...By the way has anyone the breakthough DVD featuring Storm and Jinjee? That man is amazinG and the Kids!!!!
Pleace :p

Hi! I just posted a thread "confession and lesson learned". I'm beginning my raw journey all over tomorrow as well! I goofed up on the first 30 day challenge and perhaps some of what i wrote under that thread for lessons learned can help both of us restart again! I carefully thought through what caused me to slip back to SAD and now feel more prepared to start this second journey. We have to trust ourselves that WE CAN DO IT!! If you haven't already...rewrite all the reasons you want to eat raw...or maybe do a list of what SAD does to you vs. how raw helps you so its in black and white to read over anytime you feel like you need a reminder!

(dumb question: i'm relatively new to forum...what does dh stand for? lol)

Hope I helped a bit!! :)

Welcome back! I saw breakthrough also. It is such an inspiring movie. I am going to watch it again this weekend. It helps to keep me focused when I can see a whole family thriving on raw. :)

Greetings, hope your trip to Jamacia was loaded with fun and you seized the moment to enjoy everything fresh there. Did you know that you have more power inside you , than you can imagine. You can do it because you are a very special Lady. Help is always here. Help is on the way.

Oh I love Jamiaca. I soooooo want to go back. I have a friend that lives there. Welcome back. Don't be soo hard on yourself for falling down. We all hit bumps. You do have the willpower or you wouldn't have done it in the first place nor would you be back up and trying for another round. I know your journey will be a wonderful one. And keep sharing your buns with that hubby, just next time make twice as many, LOL.

Rastadawta, I've been on and off 100% raw too and tried to post a journal once before, but today I started the challenge again and am really commited.

Hi, I am a new member here, too, but also went high raw in January. I have actually been trying to get healthy and stay that way for 3 years now!! After long stretches on just vegan or high raw, I have always been pulled down for an even longer time. BUT, the important thing is to never lose sight of your goal. You may get lost in the muck, but you can always get up again.

Just wanted to say that the DVD was great! It was their information and inspiration that made me want to try 100% raw. With a family of 3 young children, it gave me the proof I needed to trust that this is best not only for me, being overweight and out of control of that part of my life, but also for my already thin but healthy vegan children. If not for their work, I don't know if I would be here today.

Good luck to you!

Hey there and welcome back to raw!

I know about falling off the raw "platform" too. I had to try 3 times before it really stuck for me! The third time I went raw, what really helped was that I started journaling, almost every day, about how I felt while eating raw foods. Even though I'd had a positive experience both of my previous attempts, I had never sat down and actually wrote out what I was feeling. When I journaled, I noticed more changes. More energy, alertness, an overall positive attitude about life, feeling more comfortable in my own skin, and a kind of quiet euphoria.

In the back of my mind was the idea that I was only "experimenting" not committing, to the raw lifestyle, and that I would probably go back to cooked foods in a week or so. But believe it or not, that subconsious thought actually helped me stay raw! Because for me, the first few days are when I start to feel panicky and crave all my previous addictions, but when those feelings came, I just thought, "okay, I'll eat that next week," or something like that. But by the end of the first week I was thinking, "do I have to go back to cooked foods next week? I really don't want to! I don't want to lose all these great changes I've been feeling!" So I kept on, and have been keeping on for more than 2 months now!

I'm restarting my challenge too. I goofed up big time on the 30-day challenge and I hardly started yet. I will ease cooked food out of my diet. It is SOOOO tempting. Cooked food is like sugar...extremely addictive.
