I find lettuce very filling, does anyone else? I can eat fruit and be hungry shortly after maybe in about two/three hours, but strangley enough lettuce fills me up for hours and I dont fill very hungry. Anyone get htis type of reaction?

Fruit is not doing it for me either. I only had fruit this evening because I was shopping and did not get time to prepare anything and now I am hungry. It is 11 PM and I should not eat anything more but I will have to.

It may have something to do with the glycemic index of some fruit. Sweeter fruits cause a rapid rise in your bolld sugar and then a subsequent drop. A drop in blood levels causes you to feel more hungry. I find the more lower glycemic food I eat...non-sweet fruits, vegetables, and nuts....the less hungry I feel...

A nice big salad can be filling.. but not just lettuce for me. I would put tomato, avocado, sprouts and creamy cucumber dressing. That would be yummy :D

........
actually I think I will go do that right now because I am still hungry.

Usually on a salad I jsut put some different variety of vegetables and some lemon on it and Im good to go. They're all so good and they're hardly ever the same.
