I was wandering why some recipes call for what in my opinion is a lot of oil. I never used lots of oil in cooking. For example, I found a chili recipe on this site. It turned out very good. It had 2 avocados and 1/4 cup oil. I cut the oil and used only 1 avocado. It just seems to much fat. I used the other avocado to make mayonnaise for wraps. Thanks.
