New In Ohio

Hi everyone! I am brand new to the forum and just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Jenn, I currently live in Ohio, I have been married 10 years to a wonderful man named Greg and have 2 daughters - Corrigan 9 & Makenzie 6. I have researched the Raw Food Lifestyle and really would like to get on board. Unfortunitally, my husband and my youngest daughter are VERY picky and don't like most veggies. My oldest daughter is more like me in that respect, she is willing to try lots of stuff. I bought the '12 Steps to Raw Food' book and was so overwhelmed. I recently got the 'Rejuvinate Your Life' Book and DVD & liked it much better. Easier to start and work your way into. I am hoping to start raw this summer as soon as I get back from my trip to Texas to visit family. They would definately not support this "crazy" raw food! lol I can't wait to get to know everyone on here and start my healthier lifestyle!

Nice to hear from you. I think that the main thing to remember is to Keep it Simple. There are lots of uncomplicated things that you can do and a daily green smoothie is a great way to start. You can start that anytime.

Welcome! Do you have Alissa Cohen's book? It's the easiest, uncomplicated, best book I own. It includes 290 great recipes to get you started and is loaded with no-nonsense information that is easy to understand. I wish you much success on your journey!
