I have once again fallen off my raw food wagon.
I am starting to notice I fall off or hop off a few days into things when I start to have tummy aches, loose stools/diahria, and gas.

What do you suggest to ease back into things without throwing my system into such a shock. I dont think i can do the transition........eating mostly raw and like one cooked meal. That just does not work for me. But eating 100% isnt working out either.

I am open to suggestion either way cuz what i am doing aint working!

I was incorporating one quart of green smoothies into my daily intake as well as two big salads. I dont know if i was eating too much greens or stuff with too much fiber..........but it was very uncomfortable to the point if i went on a walk half way thru i better start praying i make it home with out having an accident..............

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

You might not need to transition slowly from cooked to raw, but do try upping your fiber intake more gradually. Start with a pint of smoothie or one large salad a day and increase it from there.

I notice i get gas/tummy aches when i eat cooked. When I eat raw, after I clean out, I usually don't have gas or tummy aches. It's a lot easier to poo on raw, too.

I think i am not giving my body enough time to clean out before I give up.......and go back to cooked.

I think my body is trying to push the cooked out and is not too comfortable during the time. I am looking for a more gentle way to get the cooked dead food out.......

Also, improper food combining can cause serious gas; Especially to those who arent used to consuming cooked foods. In other words dont eat fruits with veggies. Also melons should be eaten alone, for they digest the fastest. And you can eat veggies with proteins OR carbs, not both. Dont mix proteins and carbs. Leave two hours after a carb meal until eating protein and leave three hours after a protein meal until eating carbs. If improperly combing food, complete digestion is not possible due to foods of different groups digesting under different conditions. For example some foods need more acidity to digest, while others need more alkalinity, and some foods (such as fruit) digest faster than others and should be consumed 30 minutes before eating other foods. Improper food combining causes incomplete digestion, gas, bloating, malabsorption, cramops, IBS, and worse.

mpb - ive been living with same problem for 5 years and heres some things ive found that helped me a bit , and believe me ive tried say at least 50 moves such as herbs , dietary changes , fast , colonics , medications , etc . heres some ideas = acidophilus can help , the ammino acid l-glutamine at times really helped me , psyllium husks by say 3 heaping tbls per 16 oz of a banana smoothie sweetend with dry dates (the psyllium helps to solidify the solid waste) , many people say slippery elm bark , the bentonite clay type 'pascalite' - pascalite inc in worland wyoming sold me a seemingly good product , carob powder , blueberries ive read in 10's of places for the d word , the herb in tea form 'agrimony' is claimed by many to help with the d word - a good source/company is www.mountainroseherbs.com , both fennel and anise seed are claimed by many many herbalist over several centuries time as good for the g word , lavendrer tea is claimed to help with the d problem , go to search at this site and punch in ibs for more ideas , an idea im looking into now is you know the old waist vibrating machines where you put a real wide belt around waist that is hooked to a machine that pushes/pulls belt back and forth to get belly fat moving in an attempt to help burn it off . well using a vibrating sander on my belly makes it feel better so im looking to buy one of those machines so i can really vibrate the gut in an attempt to hopefully dislodge say maybe mucous toxins that are maybe saturating my intestinal tract and causing the problem , for now only thing else i can say is try seeing food as fuel that you only eat in certain survival proper quantities at certain proper times . its something you have to get dead serious about = eating for survival rather than joy . then hopefully soon someone shall figure this problem out and we'll be out of the woods . many say chlorinated water could be a part or all of the problem . i also speculate that weve over saturated our g.i. tracts and entire bodies with salt so quitting it , which i did several times for over 6 months , may help . it didnt help me but it may you . oh ya some say powdered charcoal . well thats all i can think of for now cuz ive got to hurry and take a huge PSYCHE :) :D ;) goodday
