Hi everyone :)

I have Myasthenia Gravis & have to get IVIG treatments. This means I get other peoples plasma injected into me once a week.

This is the whole reson I've come to the raw world. It is not feasable for me to stop the treatments until I get a little stronger. Because of my situation and goal of being drug & treatment free, I have to be particular when it comes to anything I eat or take if I want to get better.

Alot of well meaning people say that weight loss will come & fatigue is just part of detox, but again, because of my situation I need to take raw to the EXTREME if I'm going to make this work.

This is what I'm up against:
1 - The fastest way to lose weight on raw (because a side effect is weight
gain)
2 - Names of foods or supplements that will help to give me energy while I'm
detoxing or fatigued, so I can get some excercise.

The reason I need to take desperate measure is because I may be living healthy, but all other people (who's plasma I need at this time) probably aren't as particular about what they eat.

Thank you all so much,
Take care :)

PS - I'm going to place this thread in a few places to get as much help as possible.

probably the fastest way to lose weight is ot follow 8/1/1 - 80% carbs/ 10% fat/10% protein and just eat as much mainly fruit and veggies as you want to fill you up!

as to supplements, well my family uses juiceplus. if you check out my website below you can read more about them. my SAD eating hubby has been on them for 2 years and prior to using them he used to get horribly sick every winter with lung stuff at least a couple of times. this last winter even though it was going around he didn't get sick once. i know people who have had amazing things happen with their bloodwork too by using this!

Thank you so much! Is there a website that can explain the 8/1/1 in further detail?

Take care ;)

Wheat grass is a great detoxer and a wonderful energy booster and so is Macca for energy.

hi there do a web search for dr. doug graham you should be able to find out more that way. :) basically it is 80% carbs, 10% protein, 10% fat. so you can eat as much fruits and veggies as you want - smoothies, etc. just limit the fat. dont need to worry about calories just eat what you are hungry for.

dont know how much weight you are looking to lose... i joined www.rawfoodbootcamp.com a few months ago and it has been a great support system and a key to helping me on my raw journey! i had been high raw for 6 years prior and this is the first time i have been able to stick with 100% raw for any length of time.
