Hey - I was just posting on another thread that maybe if we write out what we are grateful for since becoming RAW that it can help us shift our attention from being obsessive about weight gain or loss to on the overall benefits in our lives.
I'd love to hear what you all are grateful for!

I am grateful I found a lovely raw creative buddy named...Catherine The Great!
I am grateful for this forum--the lovely ladies I chat with on here--alissa for starting it--everyone who comes on here and shares their journey. I am grateful for all the information we can so easily obtain. I am grateful for what eating raw has taught me already! I am grateful for gardens and animals
I am grateful for my incredible loving supportive husband and soul buddy, and all the growth our love has blessed us with. I am so grateful for love.
I am grateful for my beautiful daughter sharing her unconditional love and her life with me
I am grateful for the abundance in my life--the food, warm shelter, the peace and safety and the freedom to be me
I am grateful for Divine guidance...for earth, dreams
I am greatful i can READ and hear and see, and i am grateful for the physical body I am in that lets me experience life on planet earth-even though I have abused it and ignored its needs.
I am grateful that growth never ends! ;)
May the Blessings Be..........

There are a lot of things that have occured since going raw, but just to name those that come right to me...
I am grateful:
To have met so many wonderful new people in different places around the world.
To not be able to remember the last time I've had a cold or flu even during "flu-season" with no "flu shot".
To know that I am finally taking care of my body/temple so I can be a better living witness for God and do more in my life without being debilitated.
To see my children enjoying eating fruit and other healthy things and to have come across this way of life in time enough to allow them to know what they need to do as adults in order to live a healthy life.
To have such a wonderful, supportive husband who supports me in this new change and is even making the change himself.
To have the opportunity to share what I've learned with others who are really sick and need this information.
There are many more, but last and definitely not least...I am grateful to God for allowing me to not only come across this information about a raw/living lifestyle, but to have RECEIVED it openly and embraced it because there are many who will hear of it, learn of it, but will not heed to it!

I am greatful for my life, and the time I have been given to live happily and healthfully.
I am greatful for a loving family and community who support my somewhat nonconformist way of life & eating.
I am greatful for this community & others which keep me focused on keeping my body healthy---for it is raw that brought my body balance & wellness.
I am greatful for all the wonderfully delicious raw fresh foods that appeal to all of my sences, instead of adding toxins and chemicals to our already overloaded bodies!
Above all I am greatful to be able to live a life, and work in an industry that promotes health and wellness for humanity!
Thank you too for posting this thread, Catherine!

Grateful for my bodies insistance on continuing to get my booty out of bed everyday and take me here and there even when my mind is so abusive to it.
Grateful that we are in an era where I can hop online and research any topic and be more educated then I was a few moments before that!

Thanks Catherine--you're right! Positivity is always better than dwelling on what's NOT happening.
I am grateful for the cleansing my body is doing.
I am grateful my sweet tooth has diminished considerably. (I LOVE THIS!! I only use one packet of Stevia in my green tea rather than 2! This was a development yesterday when I realized it was just too disgustingly sweet.)
I am grateful for being healthy going into this.

Great replies guys...
I am grateful for finding Alissa's site so quickly. I was researching going vegan and I got her site from a link on one of those sites... It was meant for me to find this lifestyle... I was feeling it in my soul that what I was doing to myself wasn't right, and on my own I started the search, and God lead me here... I'm SURE of that.
I'm thankful to have met all of you and have a bunch of level headed friends to chat with while I do this- I don't feel alone at all, even though I am the only one pursing RAW in my household...
I'm thankful for discovering that carrot juice tastes so good!
I'm thankful for pure young coconuts and the wonderful, clean feeling I get when I drink one- they make me want to kiss the ground and say thank you!
I'm also grateful for medjool dates. I would have never even tried these wonderful gifts of nature if I had not discovered the RAW lifestyle.
Most of all, I'm thankful for the closeness I feel to God since going RAW- all of the beauty in the world beneith the ugliness going on in it... the wonderful things he has provided us with like a good father would... life is so much more beautiful to me now...and life is a whole lot clearer! Cheers to happiness, good health, and long life!

I'm grateful for the internet, the forums and information readily available that helped me so much in getting started.

I'm grateful for my husband, who although has chosen to stay sad, gives me 100% support in my raw journey.
I'm grateful for all the folks in these forums for their support and willingness to share their experiences and wisdom.
I'm grateful every new day that I feel so darn good! I realize how lucky I am.

I am grateful for finding the Raw life style while I am temporarily seperated from my family - I will be stronger and more beautiful when I return home in 26 days.
I am grateful for the dates and raw honey I have found, and love.
I am grateful for the blizzard that has provided me with time to sit indoors and chat with this great group.
I am grateful for the information I have learned about the importance of eating organic and the toxic load in our bodies.
I am grateful for learning about ph levels in our blood, and the impact of food.
I am grateful that I am (VERY) slowly learning food is meant to nourish the body, not solve my emotional needs, and eating SAD is an emotional crutch for me.
I am grateful the headaches are lighter, and fewer and farther between
I am happy to be me, and I want to choose to be happy to be me every moment of every day. I am grateful I am learning to set aside self loathing for self love.
Short story - Corrie Ten Boom was a prisoner with her sister, Carrie, in a Polish Concentration camp. Carrie came to her complaining of the fleas in their barracks and Corrie told her to thank God for the fleas. Several days later the Nazis refused to search their barracks for contraband because of ... fleas. The sisters's hidden Bible, from which they read to the other prisoners daily, was never found.
I am grateful for the fleas in my life...

I am greatful to God for bringing me through all the years of drug abuse, alcoholism, eating disorders, abusive realtionships and failed marriages. The fact that I am alive is proof to me that God has a plan for my life. He just had to grow me up first! :)
I am grateful for my sweet little dachshund, Cedar, he's always there for me ready to give unconditional love.
I am grateful that I stumbled into a job in Pharmacy 2 yrs. ago and I have learned so much about drugs because now I am "educated" in medicine and I can protect myself from being given unnecessary drugs.
I am grateful for my family who supports me even though they don't really understand my raw diet. I stopped by Mom and Dad's the other day and Mom was cooking their dinner. She asked me if I wanted to join and I told her I had returned to a raw diet. She said, "well, I have some Bananas or salad I can fix for you! She's a Gem!
I am grateful that I can see in the mirror and feel in my body every day that I am returning to vibrant health. Gosh, all this gratitude is choking me up! ;)
Thanks for starting this thread Catherine!! Love to you all my friends!!
I saw this thread earlier, what a great idea, I was ready to reply and scratching the barrel trying to think of something to write :(
I've since had a sleep, a cry, some juice, alfredo fettuccini (YUM!) and I'm ready now!
I'm grateful for this forum, that I have a place to share my lifestyle with others, and a place to keep a journal to track my progress.
I'm grateful my kids have been angels these past few days
I'm grateful for my attentive husband who's been cooking dinner and cleaning the kitchen with the kids, so I don't have to think in two minds while I'm not really even fit to think in one.
I'm grateful even my lovely Gracie (dog) hasn't been chewing toilet rolls because she's not allowed to swim whenever she wants to.
I'm grateful I have the choice to choose the healthier foods, the resources are within reach for me, I know for many they aren't.
I'm grateful I've been coping with my detox symptoms thus far.

I'm so moved by this thread...I'm grateful for the little, daily, magnificent acts of courage I see in everyone's lives. We're so much stronger than we know. And seeing your strength makes me braver.
I'm grateful for this damn fibromyalgia because I think it may, God willing, add years of health to my life in the long run....It led me to this path. I think of friends who've lost battles with illness and just want to cry for all the suffering. My prayer is that we will start to make connections...between food and health, between S.A.D. and WAR, between the way we treat animals and the way we treat eachother. Let us prevent that which is preventable. I'm grateful for my family's love and patience with me, especially in moments when I had none to give myself. I'm grateful for the "hurrah!" of opening a perfect avocado. I'm grateful for my own stubborn will to heal and my deep-down optimism that sees me through the rough spots. Sending love out to you all ;)

I am grateful for Mandy, my furbaby princess, my constant companion.
I am grateful for my family, for their love and support and all the laughs we share.
I am grateful for cheap long-distance calling plans, so that I am able to talk to my family every single day, 1100 miles away, without going bankrupt.
I am grateful for my relatively good health, a roof over my head, food on my plate, clothes to wear and the skills and talents to ensure these things stay in place.

I am blessed to be a daughter of God, and grateful that my God chose not to turn a deaf ear to my pleas when I decided to come back ( he never left me, I left Him) and worship Him.

I am grateful for bearing the children I have and who have taught me how to love unconditionally, and for the children I have adopted into my life as well (one of you is here with me on this board, -I Love You Babe), these children are the blessings that I have been afforded to grow and love and discover more about me.
I am grateful for my friends, people come in your life for a reason, a season and a lifetime, and my friends will be in my life until death do us part. I smile because, I never sought them, God just knew who to send.
I am grateful for my recent struggle, so I could learn how to celebrate the life I have. I am so grateful!
