View Full Version : Could this be a detox?

I have a few questions and hope somebody will take the time to respond.
Starting last week, my nose was slightly stuffy and I developed these really bad cankersores. The nose is a little worse and most of the cankersores went away, except for this THING next to my mouth that's really gross! Or could it just be allergy season or I'm eating too much fruit after none for a year.
Next, I actually felt a little better for two days! Right after I od on laxatives, as since my last stupid antibiotic I've had bad constipation. I just got oxy-powder in the mail and am hoping it will work for me.
However, the past two days I've had these horrible stomach pains! I don't want to eat cuz it hurts, but I found myself gorging yeasterday! I didn't want lettuce in my salad, just cauliflower and carrots and harder things to crunch. I ate so much! BUT i also haven't been eating very much and may just have been hungry, I also wasn't feeling right and got really cold for a whille. My stomach was just like grinding and maybe cramping, idk but it kills!
Lastly, before bed my arm was slightly itchy and now it's worse when I woke up. I've also developed various other ithchy places as the morining went on. I stayed in bed all morning, just didn't have any energy to get up. Also could just be lack of food? HOWEVER, it could be possible that the itching is due to me disgustingly not showering for two days. (Ewww, just haven't felt up to it.)
What do you think? Sorry for the length, but I need some answers!

I'm no expert, but all these things you've described:

cold-like symptoms
rash
canker sores

are pretty typical detox reactions. I've had them and many others have too. As for the stomach cramps, that could be to the increased roughage. It can take the digestive system some time to get used to all the fiber.

The Oxypowder should help. Make sure you drink tons of water with it or the constipation could get worse.

You have not said how raw you are and what you are eating. I am not sure from reading all your posts that you are taking the most sensible approach.
Do you have Alissa's book or and other guidelines to follow

They sound like the detox symptoms everyone talks about!
Hope you feel better soon!

Sounds to me like your body is reacting to the anti-biotic, not raw. If it were me, I would start using a really good probiotic a few times a day, and cut back on the sweet fruit and fat until the symptoms decreased.

No, I took the antibiotic two months ago, I'm well off of it now. I haven't eaten anything cooked for probably a month now. No, I don't have alissia's book or other guidelines to follow, I'm having so much stomach trouble that I can barely eat. What I eat is fruit, greens, veggies, sprouted grains, soaked nuts, oils, avacado. For a whille I was basically living off of kimchee thinking the probiotics would help, but i think it gave me massive die off reactions, too. I do take two different probiotics twice a day, along with many other vitamins and supplements.

Perhaps you should fast and give your digestive system a rest for a while. Have you ever fasted or have you been told not to.

I tried to juice fast once, but couldn't do it. I'm also skinny and do not think it would be a good idea to fast right now, although if i were to juice fruits I'd probably be getting more colries than what i'm attempting to eat now.

I have read many times that fasting can cause you to gain weigh if you are underweight.

Sounds like detox. It also sounds like you need to take a look at your food combining? What's a typical day look like for you?
