Chic peas and other beans

This may be a odd question but I am wondering if the chic peas , peas, and garbanzo beans from the local grocery store will sprout?
Can I use those dry beans? I have no other access to other kinds right now.

I have used the bagged (not canned of course) onces from the regular grocery store and they sprouted for me. too bad I just can't digest them raw and they make me feel quite sick...
but in my experience they definately sprout

I have sprouted them sucessfully as well. Not mad about them but they did sprout.

that's interesting -- i would never have thought you could sprout the dry ones!!
that's great to know, as i have been wanting to try sprouting as well.
i have been juicing, and love it
also, have been so jived by all the interesting recipes you guys have been posting!! i have been trying so many of them, and am hooked!!
