Hi everyone! I'm really enjoying the time I get to read all of the posts from everyone. I haven't gotten a chance to post much yet because I'm still a bit overwhelmed with reading posts and getting myself familiar with the site. I'm also new to raw foods so I'm soaking in all the information and hope that I can be of help to some of you soon! I've been struggling with something for awhile now and thought I would bring it up on the forum to see if anyone had any suggestions. I will be moving to Randolph nj in the fall. I was a 6th grade teacher but left that job to find out what my passion was and to help my mom who is healing her body from cancer by a raw foods diet. Anyway, I am really passionate about this way of life and would like to find somewhere to work where I would be a part of the raw foods lifestyle. I'm finding out that it's pretty difficult especially in Randolph nj. I signed up for one of Alissa's teacher certification courses in July but was wondering if anyone had any ideas on what I can do or where I can look for work in the meantime or to supplement that would incorporate this passion of raw foods and helping others. Thank you for any suggestions you could offer!
Hope all is well!

It will all come together... truly. Just wait until you go through the certification program. It will blow you away and take you to where you need to be. Have a blast and be open to the possibilities! You are in for an awesome experience. :D :D :D

Yea...what TreeAdams said...big time! It will all come together. In the meantime just know that you are doing all the right things right now. July will be here before you know it.
I wish you well! Hopefully you will be coming to Chicago in Oct! Teacher's Conference.

Thank you both for your responses! I'm even more excited about the certification course and I know I just have to believe that I'm in the right place for me right now. I'll also have to look into the teachers conference in October. Have a great day!

You can consider teaching/ and cooking for a Seventh Day Adventist school.
All adventist aren't vegetarian but since it's the health message of their church their schools maintain a strict vegetarian smoetimmes vegan diet, Though this is not "raw" your teaching gift can be put to use while developing your other gift(s).
Offer your raw teaching services to the hospital where your mother is receiving treatment.
Extend yourself as a homeschool educator, tutor, or elementry educator for the pediatric oncology department. Teach on site, support the families and offer raw lifestyle consultive services once certified.
