I read in a magazine where you could use an old bundt cake pean to "peel"
corn off of the cob so that it does not fly all over the place.

Just stick the corn in the little hold and slice the kernels off... I thought it
was a good idea and a great use for a bundt cake pan....

Anyone else have ideas?

With a bunt cake pan you could use it to make raw cakes.
(those that need to be frozen)
Or a cream cake in a bunt pan; hum , now I am getting hungry!

I have shazzies detox delights and A fabulous pudding called "I'm a cannibal"
When I made that last week I put it in a cup cake pan and put it into the freezer...YYYUUUUMMMMYYYYY

I turned my boiled egg slicer into a banana slicer ( for even cuts when I dry them)

Yes I know that there is a banana slicer out there ( I already had this)

I read somewhere you could use the mirowave bacon sheets to dehydrate fruits and vegies in the microwave, is that true?

I saw a set of racks especially meant for dehydrating in the microwave.

My question is: Wouldn't this be pretty unhealthy? Or don't dehydrated foods retain any bad stuff from the microwaving?

It's not obsolete but I have to share my favorit kitchen tool! It's my melon baller - I have to say I have never used it for melons but I use it to core halved fruit like apples & pears it is wonderful! :p

I LOVE the bundt cake idea aspecially as I have just bought some corn!

Coring apples with a melon ball tool ... never thought of it! Great idea --- I core at least one apple a day -- going to try it tomorrow!
