There's a recipie that I want to make and it calls for sprouted wheat berries. It says to sprout them for 2-3 days. My question is what are they supposed to look like when they are done and ready to be used.
Also there is a little white fuzzy mold on them, is it okay to just wash that off and still use them?

They start to look like grass growing. The starch turns to sugar so they are sweet, almost sickening sweet. They will grow even if you keep them in the fridge.

Personally, I wouldn't use the moldy ones. You can add some vinegar to the rinse water. That should keep the mold at bay.
