Okay, so i was wondering if anyone who considers themselves 100% raw still drinks wine (and how often)?

also, are bottled olives considered raw? if not, where can you find raw olives?

Actually...the wine question is a good one. While driving by our local wine store...I wondered about it. But figured...unsure...not drinking it. LOL :p Then I forgot to post the question.
There are raw olives. Alissa sells them...they look fabulous and I plan on getting some this Friday! I LOVE OLIVES!!! :D

Wine is Raw ! If you drink it I would say get the Organic Bio Dynamic Wines.

Wine is RAW!!! I would die if I had to live without my red wine LOL!!! Now some wine isn't vegan, animal products can sometimes be used as clarifying agents, I read that organic wines prohibit that, so organic is one was to be assured that there's no animals in your wine.

Olives takes some doing to find raw ones, but they can be found, or you can actually cure your own from fresh. Basic rule of thumb, anything that's sealed in a glass jar or can = NOT raw, heat is always applied in the sealing/canning process. (for glass jars I'm talking the jars that pop like they were a vacuum before opening, those not raw).

Some raw people drink wine regularly, others do not drink it at all. Some find that the longer they are raw, the less alcohol agrees with them (it makes them feel lousy), so they just stop drinking it altogether. I would just listen to your body and see how you feel.

they are seasonal, I find them in the very late summer or early autumn at good large supermarkets or produce shops, I head for an Italian area of town and get them there just at the amazing supermarkets in that area. There somewhere just under twenty bucks for a whole case. If you search here, there has been discussion including full recipe/instructions for curing them.

exurb - thanks so much for the info! there isn't really an italian part of houston, although we do have a great many asian areas:)

I remember a great Italian restaurant with beds instead of tables in Houston. :D (not raw though) I love Texas, have travelled there extensively in the past and have many friends there. Maybe something Mexican? Greek? I don't know, you just need a store, doesn't need a whole district. There are also prepared raw olives available year round, you just have to seek them out from specialty sources.

I love olives but I don't eat them often. I ordered some from Alissa's store on Monday. I cannot wait to receive them. My three year old daughter loves them also.
