I would like to know how some of you went raw?
Was it all or nothing or was is slowly? I really dont know which to do?
For those that went 100% did you back slide or go back to sad?

And do you recommend getting all the junk out of the house?
My husband likes junk food; should I just get rid of it';; and buy it as he need it?
My problem is I have a lot of processed food in the house! Stuff only I eat; not my husband. I am wondering is I should just get rid of it?
I really hate wasting food!, most of what I have has been opened or in the freezer and no one would take it?

Any help would be great!

<<I really hate wasting food!>>

One might say that putting it inside your body is wasting it. At any rate, it's wasting your body! I think you should get rid of it, at least what's yours. It's a lot easier not having temptation laying around the house. The temptation to finish off something that's already opened and that will "go to waste" because nobody else eats it but you is a possible set-up for failure. Throw it in the trash.

I guess if the food you are talking about is only yours...and you want to go raw...get rid of it. If it is something you will end up replacing for your husband then that's a waste. Keep his food...if he isn't changing...and give up yours. ;) Don't let things hang around that will tempt you to fall away from Raw. You can do it!

In my opinion I feel it's best to gradually make your way to 100% raw. It makes it a lot harder if you just cut out all your normal foods all at the same time. In my situation I first cut sweets, then dairy, then red meat, then all meat, then breads.. and after that I felt I would be okay going 100% raw because I got use to not having those foods anymore. And in replace of whatever you cut out add raw produce.

That's just how I did it. Only you can decide what is going to work best for you:)

Good luck!

this reminds me of the baked flax crackers with seeds Ive saved FOREVER because I felt that I might waste them by throwing away. I wont eat them & hubbs wont go near them so I tried to feed them to my guniea piggies- nope, they looked at me like I'm nuts.

Just another thing from my cooked vegan days....

I think I'll go toss them in the trash. I could fit another can of raw carob in it's place!!

I went as raw as I could but if there was something I wanted badly, like cheese on my salad and a piece of bread, well then I had it.. I'm still not 100% but I'm all up for high raw, not numbers anyway.. Good luck, you can do it! And about the stuff that ought not to be wasted, see if you can possibly give it to someone else, if it's unopened and such, you might just make someone happy! If not, then do NOT hesitate with feeding it to the bin, really, there is nothing worse than having things laying around that can tempt!

For me, I first went 100% raw and felt great for a couple days and then I started to detox, freaked out and went back to cooked. For months after that I kept trying to go half raw or 80% raw but it did nothing for me because I was still filling my body with toxins even if it was only one meal a day or whatever. A year later I plunged head on into 100% again and I haven't failed once and I do crave but I haven't gone back to cooked and I refuse to give in this time. So for me, it's all or nothing and it's working.
