Hello there,
I already posted a general question about cost/time requirements in the raw food discussion forum, but I realized I never introduced myself here - so hello!
I've never been a vegetarian or vegan before, but enough of my diet consists of raw fruits, veggies and nuts as it is, so I feel pretty confident that I'll be able to put forth a solid effort. I do want to lose a few vanity pounds, but mostly I want to feel better. I've read so many testimonials of people leaving behind aches and pains that I'm curious to see how my body reacts. I've had somewhat chronic stomach issues since I was 12 - mostly stress induced, but also a result of caffeinne and nicotine (yes i smoked regularly as a 12 year old - sick i know). well, i given up nicotine and i drink caffeinne much less than i did before. things have improved, but i know i could feel better.
plus, my mom has too many conditions to list, and if this works for me, i know i can influence her awful food habits.
i live in houston, TX - montrose to be exact. i'd love to chat with anyone about great local food co-ops and the like. i plan on going 100% raw next week - i'm sure i'll be here often looking for advice and support:)
peace
