Hi,
It seems I'm not doing a very good just digesting nuts and seeds. Yesturday I made both Alissa's Mock Salmon Pate and Easy Apple Pie and am pretty sure from my BM this morning that at least the sunflower seeds from the Easy Apple Pie hadn't been digested properly and were in tiny pieces in my BM. I soaked the sunflower seeds before hand for the correct time and obviously processed them in the food processor as the recipe says to make the crust.
So my question is, to help absorb the sunflower seeds and any other nuts/seeds for future recipes, would it be ok if I grinded (in a coffee grinder) the nuts/seeds I am going to use after I soak them, so they are basically a powder and would surely be 99% more easy to digest? And then process the nut/seed powder with the dates or other ingredients in the food processor? Would the texture of the food like the pie crusts remain the same as if it were not grinded?
