I know there have been some posts on this, but I have a slightly different situation --

I used to get cold sores every once in a while. Well, now my lips are so cracked in the corners, that it feels like a cold sore but I don't think it is. Also, my mouth is so sensitive to lemons and other vinegary items. My lips tingle, as does my tongue and the roof of my mouth. I squeezed a lemon over my salad and couldn't eat it -- then I had some pickled asparagus and had to stop eating that too. Just ate some cherries and have sort of the same feeling. This is really unpleasant.

Anyone have an idea of what this could be? I haven't had any detox symptons, so maybe that?

You need vitamin B12. I have to take supplements. If I don't, I get those symptoms. If I continue to not take the supplements, the next symptom is that my fingers will turn green underneath my rings. I've had this problem since I was a teen. Doesn't seem to matter what I eat or don't eat. I just need to supplement.

sounds to me like you are detoxing, which causes your saliva to be acidic.

it's best not to eat any acids at this time, alkalying foods will make it better.

Thanks everyone. I also have a metallic taste. Had it the other day too. I think my body is trying to get rid of heavy metals.

What are some examples of alkaline foods? I guess I can do a google search.
