Today I hosted a lunch at my house for some photographer friends.

When I invited them I hadn't turned raw yet - not even a little.

But now that I had - I was going to make my stuff for them AND have non raw stuff for them too so they didn't feel trapped in the land of the unknown!

When they arrived - They brought stuff I could eat! I was shocked.

Salad, fruit, veggies, - some brought other things - and that is what I expected - but not that people would go out of their way for me.

Anyhow at the end of the lunch I noticed that I had more NON raw leftovers then Raw. ! lol I am going to have to give it all to Jerry to bring to work tomorrow.

I think it's so funny that I went out of my way for them and in the end they all wanted my raw stuff.

They LOVED the mock salmon pate and kept asking "now - what is in this? There no salmon in it?! wow it tastes like it does! "

They also liked the date nut torte but not as much as I thought they would.

anyhow - I told them that next time I host a lunch I'm going to cater the entire thing and do an all raw lunch.

I can't wait.

:D

Sounds so nice that everyone was thinking of the other person.People are drawn to raw if they just see it displayed nice. Good job on your part!

You go girl!... Isn't it nice when you have support where you least expect it? I wrote about that in my journal, and it really seems to me that finding a safe place to share is so important.

Where i work, being that it is a health minded company, most of the snacks people bring in are healthy. Yesterday the admin brought around fresh strawberries and millet crackers. (I ate the berries.) Every once in a while however, I nearly keel over when I see the junk people bring in to share...grocery store deli cookies, the kind with shortening, or cheese dip with chuncks of spam! makes one wonder.

Sounds like you are rubbing off on your peers. That is fantastic. May they continue to look to you for more info on the topic! you may have started a trend...!

Cassy. :)
