Brownies
Here's the brownie recipe:

2 cups raw almonds (soaked overnite)
3/4 cup of unhuled sesame seeds ((soaked overnite)
1 1/2 cups of dates , soaked for 1/2 hour (I use barhi dates)
1cup raw carob powder
1/2 cup of walnuts or macademia nuts (optional)
1 Tsp vanilla exract (optional)

Peel almonds and run thru Champion juicer with (solid) homogenizing plate
alternating a handfull of almonds and a handfull of sesame seeds to make a
nut butter/paste. Put dates (pitted) in food processor or blender and blend
until creamy and smooth. This is the sweetener. Mix date cream with the
almond/sesame butter in a large bowl. Add vanilla extract (optional). Add the
carob powder and mix well (this takes some arm muscle) . i f you llike you
can add walnuts or any other nuts coarsely chopped. Put the batter on a tray
with wax paper and flatten; then cut into squares. At this point you can
either freeze or dehydrate at 90F for 6 hours. If you freeze it will be more
like a fudge than a brownie. I you dry the so the the outside isn't sticky
but the inside is moist, it's more like a brownie. you can also blend dates
with raisins and walnutws to make a "chocolate" fosting to put on top of the
brownies, Just experiment and have fun!

Peace,
Enrique

Thanks for sharing brownie with us. Glad that calories don't transfer through the net or with thoughts.

I wonder how necessary sesame seeds would be. I probably would skip them. Also wonder about raisins. I think I made a similar recipe long time ago, but it's so long I can't remember at this point. Glad I don't have ingredients to attempt this winner I'm sure. For the one day I do, I appreciate the sharings here. Oh, don't feel sorry or guilty in posting more. I'm always glad to receive them and bet I have company too.

I will try this too- we made the Banana Cream Pie recipe that is in Alissa's book last night... it was okay- I think that the crust was the best- my daughter could not stop eating it! But the coconut in the filling was a bit much for me- I don't like that stringy feeling when I eat... I think I will try it again without the coconut in the filling and add fresh sliced stawberries to the banana filling- All in all , the recipe has lots of potential!

Thanks for the brownie recipe... I will post when I try it :)

I've tried it today and it's quite good, just a little soggy.
