FOr stuffiness of the sinus whats the best way to prepare ginger tea? Should you chop boil and strain or just boil a whole chunk of the root?

I slice up a big chunk and put in a cup and pour hot water over it.
It's delicious. Very gingery!

Yep - this way and then add honey if you want sweetness. I like the taste of ginger when I'm feeling down so I usually don't.

Do you boil your water or just heat it up below 118? Is hot tea (above 118) still considered part of a 100% raw diet? What if it's packaged and store bought?
(I love ginger tea as well - I am actually drinking the Stomach Ease tea from Yogi right now (licorice root, cardamom seed, fennel seed, coriander seed ... well, ginger is the 7th ingredient listed, but for some reason it is the most dominant flavor) Yum!).

I try not to let the water boil, but sometime, time gets away from me and it does! I don't stress about it though. You can easily let the water cool down a bit before you pour it over the ginger.
Also, I don't think it's considered 100% Raw, but I made a decision to include a cup of hot or very warm tea when I want it. I guess you could say I'm 100% Raw until I have a cup of tea! LOL!
