My SAD hubby is starting Raw today! :) Because it is Saturday, he can try eating anything and see how it sits...so I started him out this morning with a fruit platter. Blueberries, Strawberries, Walnuts and a Banana. I came in this morning with a huge smile and showed him my breakfast and asked, "Now how can a person feel deprived eating like this?" His reply was, "They can't...make me one of those!" LOL :D We are going food shopping later this morning. We are going to stand in the produce isle and smack our lips thinking...what do I want to eat today. I'm so excited to have him on this journey with me...he is my soulmate and best friend...there is no one I would want to share this with more. :) Thank you everyone for your great advice in another thread. Come Monday...we will put those great ideas into use! Raw (((HUGS)))

Congrats on your new raw buddy. My hubby is my raw buddy yet he is a very SAD raw buddy, LOL. But I officially reigh him as my raw buddy because he is very supportive of my lifestle and makes a geniune effort to eat better in some areas. Since I went raw this last time he has really been trying hard to eat more raw and it has paid off for him. He has lost 14 pounds.

That's great! I think my fiance is starting to get interested in raw. A couple of days ago we went to the store because he wanted to get snacks for a short road trip he was taking (going to a convention back in Texas). He got salted sunflower seeds, as per usual, and pretzels... but right before we were about to leave, we walked past the produce section and he said "oh, I know what else I want! Bananas!". Even more suprising, as we were getting the bananas he said "Hey you know, what we should do some day is come here and get a bunch of bananas and have just those all day for our meals." Needless to say, I was pleasantly shocked! :D

Day one behind us...I was so proud of him. He has like no will power. :p So...breakfast...he was raw. Lunch we went to Pizza Hut. :o I ate veggies...they all ate pizza and wings. After shopping together all day we stopped at the HFS and grocery store and stocked up. He said as we entered the grocery store...I can do this....help me. ;) OK! So, we purchased more fruit and veggies than I have ever gotten and he even helped with housework when we got home...so, I could put all the groceries away. I am such a lucky woman. So, he ate sunflower seeds and watermelon for dinner. He finished the night with air popped popcorn. I know this day wasn't 100% raw, but for him, I have to tell you guys...it was awesome! I even told him how proud I was of all his effort and he smiled so big! :D It's a start. He ate more raw today...than he did cooked. I know now it's going to take him a while to transition, but he is going to make it!
Also, yes, he works about 14 hours a day...and it has always been nothing but take-out...Morning~Noon & Night! So...this is a great start! Thank you for all your encouraging words! Raw (((HUGS)))
