IT starts in the morning...........I guess you just drink green smoothies and fruits and veggies all week or replace green smoothies for 1 or 2 of your daily meals.........daily motivational call morning and evening.

Anyone in?

I signed up. I’m a little nervous, my stress level is extremely high with serious family issues right now, so, it’s a set up for me. I have to get to where I can honestly say, I can’t afford to wait for things to be balanced around me before I seek balance inside of me.

I am signed up and anxious to begin. I have been incorporating 1 quart of green smoothies into my diet daily for the last 5 days. I am ready to take it to the next level as it doesn't take me long to suck one of these down. My goal for tommorrow is to drink 2 quarts of raw smoothies. The only problem I am having is spending a lot of time in the bathroom as these seem to go right thru me. I am calling in at 9 am central time which is 7 am pacific. Cant wait. Anyone else doing this challenge? I think it is free right?

I'm thinking about this. I don't have a very good blender though, this would kill the motor. But I DO have an excellent juicer (Omega 8005).

Would a juice with the pulp added back in be the equivalent of a smoothie?

Or, would a 7 day green cleanse with green juice instead of smoothies be harder on the system or easier? I would think it would mean a faster detox? Maybe a juice fast plus fresh fruits would be a good balance between a cleanse and a rapid detox.

Help! :p

I don't have a great blender either, but I've had no problem making green smoothies with it. If you're afraid that it'll be hard on your blender, cut up your greens and fruit well before putting them in and add water to get things moving.

A smoothie cleanse means a slower detox and, since you're keeping the fiber in, your bowel movements shouldn't stop like they might on a water/juice fast.

This cleanse sounds excellent to me. I'm going to join in on it too!

The smoothies definately dont stop my bowels.............

But a juice fast would??????

Anyways, I am having a problem with the bowels moving too much!!!!! LOL

Anyways, I was on the motivational call this morning and have had one quart of smoothie today thus far.

I am doing the option 2 which is to replace 1 or 2 meals per day with a smoothie.

So today I have had the one quart of smoothie and a big piece of raw lasagna and a bit of key lime pie and a bit of carob pie........

It might. With a juice fast, you're getting very little fiber, so there's no bulk to push things through your colon. Of course you're also not consuming much bulk, so it's not such a big deal.

Hi all,

I just started the 7 day green challenge today and have a few questions:

how much smoothie should we be drinking and is anyone else worried we may be consuming too much sugar from all the fruit?

Thanks!

It is recommended you drink up to 4 smoothies a day. I just upped my intake to 2 qaurts today........which was about 1/2 pound of greens (spinach) and a total of 2 cups frozen mangos and 2 cups frozen blueberries and 4 bananas.........and it just all came back out the other end I believe.

These are going right thru me. Is that a good thing? With SAD I have problems with consitipation............

I also had some raw lasagna for lunch and a raw salad and a piece or raw chocolate carab pie and about 1/4 piece of raw pizza for supper............

No caffeine today either.........And went for about a 40 minute/2 mile walk with hubby and the dog...........

My BM's almost seem like if i sneeze there might be a problem............if I dont get right to the bathroom............
