HI, Carlene,

Your success is SO inspiring, I'm glad you posted here.

I was just reading about your boot camp early this week. I'm seriously thinking of the ultimate camp for my needs, I've struggled to get and stay on a healthy plan.

I'm concerned about food cravings and fat content, so I was thinking of the ultimate camp for accountability and support. I have a question I thought about emailing via your site, but then I thought maybe others here might have similar questions as well. For me, I believe I could commit to the requirements of the program, but I'm totally confused when I try to sort out the issue of glycemic index. Do you give lists of approved foods? I just can't make sense of the charts.

When I've tried raw, the kinds of things I have used have included orange, apple, banana, grapes, mangos, papaya, watermelon, cucmbers, greens of all types, sometimes in salads, sometimes in smoothies, and veggies such as zuchini, tomato, red bell peppers, okra, brocolli and cauliflour and greens in salads.

Would those things fit in your requirements?

I am an emotional eater, and it's usually some emotional flair that pulls me back to certain non-raw items, and right now, I have huge and muliple family transitions going on. I keep thinking it will settle down, but as soon as it seems to in one area, it flairs in another, and I'm tired of saying to my self that when "x" happens, THEN I'll be able to focus on my needs.

Yours,

Deborah

Deborah -- you might want to copy this and send it to Carlene at one of her websites.

Hi Deborah, since this is directed at Carlene, and not to Alissa, you may choose to email her, instead of posting it here, if you have a personal message like this to post to anyone here, you can go to the top of the page, click on members list, and find their profile there, if they have an email address there, you can email them directly.

This forum is not for talking one on one, it's an open forum, where all can participate and chat together, so any personal message to one person should be addressed to that one person in an email format.

Sorry if I offended, just thought if I had questions about glycemic index and raw, others might too, and if I was interested in boot camp, maybe someone else had been as well.

Not trying to exclusively address one person, just thought it might be good for all to listen in and share.

Because I thought that Alissa said that if we wanted to talk to someone, we could try their email, or post something on the boards.....

People ask people questions all of the time, with people's name in the heading, all of the time.....

Is it because she is on another board? Is she the one we were all celebrating a while back? I was interested to hear more of her progress and was excited to see this thread..... Now I am so disappointed.

She had posted a lovely thread on here:

I started a new thread because I didn't want to hijack her thread.

I meant no harm, and maybe good things can still happen in this thread anyway.

You still may want to email her to alert her of this thread. She's really busy and I don't think she's on here very often.

I mentioned you emailing her earlier in this thread so that you could get a prompt response. For example, I am not on here for sometimes weeks at a time nowadays, so if someone were to address me in a thread, I'd never see it -- see what I mean?
